Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate in prevention of chemotherapy drug-induced liver injury in patients with acute leukemia. Methods Sixty-six patients with acute leukemia were randomly divided into prevention group(n=34) and control group(n=32).The prevention group received chemotherapy drugs combined with magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate and the control group only received chemotherapy drugs. Results There was 15 cases(9.6%) with liver injury in the prevention group, and 46 cases(31.7%) in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant. The efficacy rate of liver injury prevention was 82.7% in the prevention group, and 22.7% in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups.Magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate-related adverse reactions in the course of treatment were not observed. Conclusion Magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate is effective in prevention of chemotherapy drug-induced liver injury in patients with acute leukemia. Thus it is worthy of promotion.
