Influence of behavioral intervention on the rehabilitation and the quality of life for post-stroke patients with depression

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of behavioral interventions to patients with post-stroke depression.Methods 376 patients with post-stroke depression were randomly divided into control group and study group.Control group received only routine treatment and nursing,the study group received targeted behavioral intervention plus routine treatment and nursing.The effect of rehabilitation and quality of life were compared respectively between the two groups.Results There were significant differences in the recovery rate,self-care ability in six months and quality of life between the two groups(P0.01).Conclusion Mental health education and behavioral intervention can promote the rehabilitation and improve the quality of life in patients with post-stroke depression.
