Abstract

Objective:To investigate the bacterial distribution and drug resistance in blood culture specimen of our hospital,providing the scientific evidence for clinical medication.Method:Blood samples were cultivated with BACT/ALERT 3D automated blood culture system and pathogenic bacteria were identified with VITEK-32 automated bacteria identification instrument,drug sensitivity tests used Kirby-Bauer(K-B) method.Result:From January 2007 to March 2008,there were 828 strains isolated from positive culture,including 722 Gram-positive bacteria strains(87.2%),98 Gramnegative bacteria strains(11.8%) and 8 fungi strains(1.0%).Conclusion:It is important to comprehend the blood culture results promptly for the selection of antimicrobial agents in order to increase cure rate and decrease mortality.
