Maine Resources and Development of Marine Industrial in Taiwan

Based on the Marine Policy White Paper published in 2005 by Taiwan Province,from which the contents relating to marine economy have been extracted and summarized,and the available data and information about marine economy in the province,this paper introduces marine geography and marine natural resources in Taiwan Province,analyzes the contents and categories of marine industries,with special emphasis on the development of marine shipping and port industry,marine fishery industry,marine science and technology industry and marine recreational and tourism industry in the province.Finally,the paper discusses the policy measures taken in Taiwan for the development of marine economy.
