Abstract
This study investigated single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) of growth hormone(GH) gene in 4 local goose breeds(Zi goose,Wanxi White goose,Zhedong white goose and Shitou goose) by PCR-SSCP method. 4 mutations were found among four breeds,which were 360(A/G),474(C/G),551(T/C) and 554(C/T),and there were three kinds of genotypes(EE,EF and FF). The results of χ2 test showed that the frequencies of GH gene fit with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in 4 breeds. The genotype frequency of Zi goose showed significant difference with Zhedong white goose and Shitou goose,and the genotype frequency of Wanxi white goose was significant difference with Shitou goose.
