Abstract

Collected scions from the improved variety of Camellia oleifera in cutting orchard of Taojiang County and taken the sprouting seed of Camellia oleifera as rootstock, the grafting experiment was conducted by means of randomized block design. The results indicated that, the survival rate and increment of grafted seedlings with sprouting seed being treated by thiophanate-methyl solution with 1/1000 increased by 25.8%,11.7% respectively in comparison with the control.By using the upper bud, middle bud and lower bud of scions for grafting respectively, the survival rates of grafted seedlings were 88.4%,83.2%,72.2% respectively,or and the heights on 149th d after grafting were 8.9cm,8.5cm,8.1cm respectively.Grafted at bud or root of sprouting seed, the survival rates of grafted seedlings were 85.2% and 85.8% respectively, and the heights on 149th d after grafting were 8.55cm and 7.10cm respectively.
