Abstract

Objective:To investigate human leukemia KG-1 cells apoptosis induced by resveratrol. Methods:After treated with different concentrations RES,the suppressive effect of RES on proliferation of KG-1 cells was analyzed by MTT method. Transmission electron microscope technique were used to detect the apoptosis status of KG-1 cells. The cell cycle and apoptosis rate of KG-1 cells treated with RES were detected by flow cytometry. Results:RES could obviously inhibit proliferation of KG-1 cells (P0.05).Compared with the control group, after treated with RES,the cells number in S phase of KG-1 cells increased(P0.01),and the apoptosis rate increased(P0.01). Conclusion:RES could significantly inhibit the proliferation of KG-1 cells and block the cell cycle at S. And in the end RES could induce the apoptosis of KG-1 cells.
