Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Tanreqing Injection in the treatment of acute stage of chronic bronchitis, and to observe the cytokines changes before and after treatment. Methods: 80 old patients of acute stage of chronic bronchitis were selected, all the patient were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 40 cases in each group. The two groups were given conventional oxygen inhalation, spasmolysis, asthma, phlegm and other drug treatment, while given cefuroxime intravenous drip(2 times /d), the study group was given Tanreqing injection at the same time(1 time/d, 7 d for a course of treatment, for a total of 2 courses). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect TNF-a, IL-6 and IL-8 before and after treatment. Results: The improving time of cough, dyspnea and wet rales was shorter in the study group patients than in the control group(P0.05). The total effective rate of the study group was obviously higher than that of the control group(P0.05). Serum levels of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-a of the two groups both decreased significantly after the treatment(P0.05), and in the study group, the levels were significantly lower than in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion: Tanreqing therapy can effectively improve clinical symptoms of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and can also regulate the immune function and reduce inflammation.
