Expression and Significance of HPV16-E7 Protein and Telomerase in Tissue of Invasive Cervical Carcinoma and Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia

Abstract

Objective To explore the expression of HPV16-E7 protein and telomerase in tissue of invasive cervical carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and the effect during generative,development of cervical carcinoma.Methods The expression of HPV16-E7 protein and telomerase in 30 cases of invasive cervical carcinoma(ICC group),90 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia[CIN,CINⅠ(CINⅠ group),CINⅡ(CINⅡ group)and CINⅢ(CINⅢ group),each groups 30 cases] were detected by immunohistochemical Elivision two stages method.Another 10 cases of normal cervical tissue specimen as a control group.Results In groups of control,CINⅠ group,CINⅡ group,CINⅢ group and ICC group,the positive rates of HPV16-E7 protein were 30.0%,63.3%,63.3%,76.7% and 96.7%,respectively.The positive rates of HPV16-E7 protein in ICC group and CINⅢ group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05,respectively).But there were no significant different in ICC group and CINⅢ group,CINⅢ group and CINⅡ group(P0.05,respectively).And for the expression of telomerase were 30.0%,40.0%,43.3%,70.0% and 93.3%,respectively.The positive rates of telomerase in ICC group were significantly higher than those in CINⅢ group(P0.05).And those in CINⅢ group were significantly higher than those in CINⅡ group(P0.05),but there were of no significant difference in CINⅡ group and CINⅠ group,CINⅠ group and control group(P0.05,respectively).The expression of HPV16-E7 protein and telomerase were positively correlated in invasive cervical carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(r=0.376,P0.01).Conclusion There is a close relationship between high expression of HPV16-E7 protein and telomerase during the generative,development of cervical carcinoma.
