Abstract
Objective To investigate the analgesic and anti- inflammatory effect of Xuanfuguilian prescription extracted by ethanol. Methods SPF level Kunming mice were divided into five groups by random number table method: blank control group, aspirin group( aspirin solution 0. 2 g·kg- 1·d- 1,0. 01 g/ml) or dexamethasone group( dexamethasone 0. 02g·kg- 1· d- 1),low dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group( Xuanfuguilian prescription extracted by ethanol 0. 45 g/kg),middle dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group( Xuanfuguilian prescription extracted by ethanol 0. 90 g / kg), and high dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group( Xuanfuguilian prescription extracted by ethanol 1. 80 g / kg). The analgesic effects of Xuanfuguilian prescription extracted by ethanol were evaluated by hot plate- induced pain experiment and glacial acetic acid-induced pain assay. The anti- inflammatory effects were evaluated by xylene- induced imflammation experiment and net content of cotton ball- induced granuloma. Results There was no interaction between the treatment method and treatment time( P 0. 05); there was no significant difference in the pain threshold among different groups( P 0. 05); there were significant differences in the pain threshold among different treatment times( P 0. 05). The writhing frequency of mice in aspirin group, low dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, middle dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, and high dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group was significantly lower than that of mice in blank control group, respectively( P 0. 05); the writhing frequency of mice in low dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, middle dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, and high dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group was significantly higher than that of mice in aspirin group, respectively( P 0. 05); the writhing frequency of mice in high dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group was significantly lower than that of mice in middle dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group( P 0. 05). Auricle swelling degree of mice in dexamethasone group was significantly lower than that of mice in blank control group( P 0. 05); there was no significant difference in auricle swelling degree among blank control group, low dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, middle dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, and high dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group( P 0. 05). The net content of granuloma of mice in dexamethasone group, low dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, middle dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, and high dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group was significantly lower than that of mice in blank control group, respectively( P 0. 05); there was no significant difference in net content of granuloma among dexamethasone group, low dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, middle dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group, and high dose Xuanfuguilian prescription group( P 0. 05). Conclusion Xuanfuguilian prescription extracted by ethanol can reduce glacial acetic acid- induced writhing times of mice, alleviate cotton ball- induced granuloma.
