Abstract

The study was aimed to investigate effects of Xiaogan rice wine on memory and antioxidation function of mice.D-galactose-induced aging mice were lavaged Xiaogan rice wine at high, mediate and low concentration, respectively. After 30 d,one-trial passive avoidance response models were used to observe changes in mouse behavior, and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity and malondialdehyde(MDA) content in brain, blood and liver were determined. The results showed that all mice had obviously shortened response time(P0.01).The academic record of mice lavaged low-concentration Xiaogan rice wine was increased obviously, and they had longer incubation period, significantly higher SOD activity in brain, red cells and liver(P0.01),and significantly lower MDA content in brain, serum and liver(P0.01).
