Abstract
Objective: To explore the value of the different radiological examination methods on chest in the diagnosis of the non-metallic foreign body in respiratory tract. Methods: The different radiological examination methods findings of non-metallic body in trachea or bronchus of 57 cases proved by tracheobronchoscopy were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided according to different examine methods and the diagnostic accuracy of different radiological examine methods was observed. Results: The diagnostic accuracy of chest fluoroscopy group was 66.0%, that of chest radiography group was 22.2%, and CT group was 100.0%. Conclusion: CT should be the preferred approach in diagnosing foreign body in respiratory tract because the diagnostic accuracy of CT is higher than that of chest fluoroscopy and chest radiography.
