Abstract
Objective To study the expression of protein P16 in the tissues of cervical cancer. Methods An immunohistochemistry S-P method was used to detect the expression of protein P16 in 15 normal cervical tissues and 20 chronic cervicitis tissues and 42 cervical cancer tissues. Results P16 expressed significantly lower than those in the normal cervical tissues and the chronic cervicitis tissues (all the P0.01); P16 protein expression in stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ cervical cancer were found signi ficantly lower than those in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ(P0.01). Conclusions The abnormal expression of protein P16 may be involved in the genesis and development of cervical cancer, and it might be an accessory diagnostic marker in prediction of the prognosis.
