Abstract
The transformation temperatures of the low alloy steel, such as Ac1,Ac3 are measured by thermal dilatometer.By means of microscopic analysis and mechanical properties test, the effect of heat treatment on microstructure and properties of low alloy steel is studied. The results show that the microstructures is tempered martensite and retained austenite after oil quenching at 910 ℃ for 25 min and tempering at 200 ℃ for 1 h.The steel has good comprehensive mechanical properties with hardness HRC 52 and impact toughness a KU = 45 J.cm-2.
