Abstract

Objectives To explore and evaluate the effect of intervention on risk behaviors of MSM in public places.Methods Joint-marketing intervention mode was used and 400 MSM in 3 MSM places chosen randomly in May 2011 as baseline investigation before the survey were conducted and 292 MSM were again cross-sctionally surveyed a year later.Results The knowledge level in acquiring immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)increased from 69.0 % to 75.0% after implementation of the mode.The ratio of never-use condom with woman decreased substantially from 40.2% to 8.7%.The percentage of demanding AIDS-related service and intervention by accepting the condom propaganda,AIDS counseling or detecting improved obviously.Conclusions The intervention mode is effective and can be popularized in prevention and control of HIV/AIDS,but the behavior intervention should be carried out continuously.
