Abstract

The synthetic process of 2,4-di-ter-pentyl-phenol with macroporous strongly acid cation exchange resin(A-35) was studied, and the effects of reaction temperature, feeding air speed, olefin and phenol ratio and reaction pressure on alkylation of phenol were discussed. The optimum reaction conditions were determined:feeding mass air speed of 0. 6 h-1,reaction temperature of 115 ℃,reaction pressure of 0.6 MPa,and molar ratio of isopentene and phenol of 1. 5,under which the once-through conversion rate of phenol could maintain over 95% and total selectivity was over 95%.
