Abstract
The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time and molar ratio of raw materials(phenol to diisobutylene) on the conversion ratio of phenol in the alkylation reaction were studied.By orthogonal experiment, the optimum process conditions of alkylation reaction were determined: reaction temperature was 95℃~100℃,reaction time was 2 h and materials ratio(phenol to diisobutylene) was 1.8∶ 1.0.The experimental results showed, with the conversion rate of phenol increasing, the purity of p-tert-octyl phenol was increased from 95% to 99%,and the solidification point was increased from 78 ℃ to 83 ℃.
