Therapeutic effect of intra articular injection with sodium hyaluronate and triamcinolone acetonide for knee joint osteoarthritis

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of intra articular injection with sodium hyaluronate and triamcinolone acetonide for knee joint osteoarthritis.Methods:One hundred and one cases of osteoarthritis were randomly divided into three groups,combined treatment group were given inject combined with sodium hyaluronic(once a week for 5 consecutive weeks) and triamcinolone acetonide(once at the first and third week for 2 consecutive weeks).Sodium hyaluronate group were only given injection with sodium hyaluronate,triamcinolone acetonide group were only given injection with triamcinolone acetonide,control group were only given injection with 0.9% NaCl.The therapeutic effect was observed and compared before treatment,1 month after treatment and 6 months after treatment.Results:The combined group had significantly difference compared to the other groups(P0.05).Conclusion:Symptoms of knee joint osteoarthritis is improved by intra-articular injection with sodium hyaluronate and triamcinolone acetonide,with little side effect.
