Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of Tetramethylprazine (Tet) on endothelial cell(ECV304) injured by oxidative low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL).Methods:Cultured ECV304 cells were divided into 4 groups: Control group (ECV304),Tet control group (ECV304+ Tetramethylprazine),ox-LDL group (ECV304+ox-LDL) and Tet group (ECV304+ox-LDL+Tetramethylprazine).The concentrate of ox-LDL and Tet used in the experiment was 0.1 mg/ml and 0.5 mg/ml respectively. After dealing with different treatments, cells of four groups cultured for further 24 hours, and then culture medium was collected for the measurement of LDL,MDA contents. The activities of SOD and GSH-PX were detected in ECV304 cells.Result:The contents of LDH and MDA in Tet group were significantly lower than ox-LDL group (P0.05);The activities of SOD and GSH-PX in Tet group were significantly increased than ox-LDL group (P0.05).Conclusion: Tetramethylprazine has the protective function of the endothelial cells injury induced by ox-LDL via a anti-oxidation effect.
