Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of losartan tablets on excretion of urinary protein and kidney function in patients with early phased diabetic nephropathy (DN).Methods Twenty two patients with early phased DN based on conventional therapy of diabetes were treated with losartan tablets (50 mg/d),and observed for 10~12 weeks.Result Changes of blood sugar,BUN,and Cr were not significant(all P0.05).Excretion of urinary trace albumin decreased markedly,so did creatinine clearance (both P0.01).Conclusion Losartan tablets can decrease the excretion of urinary protein, inhibit progression of kidney damage, and keep normal renal function.
