Abstract
Objective To observe the diagnostic significance of serum nitric oxide (NO) and C-reactive protein (CRP) detections to the treponema pallidum-positive patients. Methods NO and CRP level were measured and compared in 65 treponema pallidum-positive patients and 70 treponema pallidum-negative people. Changes of NO and CRP level were analyzed. Results Statistically significant differences (P 0.01) existed in NO and CRP level between treponema pallidum-positive patients and treponema pallidum-negative people. Treponema pallidum-positive patients had a higher level of NO (P 0.05) and a lower level of CRP (P 0.01) after treatment. Conclusion NO and CRP detection are of important value in the early diagnosis and treatment of treponema pallidum-positive patients.
