Optimization of Serum Diagnosis Methods on Treponema Pallidum Infection

To discuss the serological diagnosis methods of the TP infection detection on out-patients, we detected the antibody of TP in 487 patients with TRUST and TPHA methods. Our results showed that the positive and negative predictive values were 92.4% and 90.6% respectively of TPHA. Positive TPHA result indicate a infection of TP. We concluded that the combination of TPHA and TRUST can not only improve the sensitive and specialty of diagnosis but also beneficial to the observation of the curative effect.
