Abstract

A set of single segment substitution lines( SSSLs) population derived from an elite inbred line Xu 178 as recipient parent and inbred line Zong 3 as donor parent, were used as marital for QTL mapping of flowering related traits in maize. The SSSLs population was evaluated at Xunxian and Xuchang locations. A total of 47 QTL for the flowering related traits were detected at the two locations, including 14 QTL for shedding period,16 QTL for silking days,17 QTL for ASI. Out of them,1 QTL for shedding period,2 QTL for silking days,5 QTL for ASI were detected at the two locations simultaneously.
