Abstract
The Flood of the Yangtze River is characterized by large flood volume with high peak and long duration,and making full use of flood detention basins is one of the important measures to ensure the flood safety of key regions.The function of flood detention basin in the Yangtze River basin after the operation of TGP is analyzed.It is suggested that dynamic research on extra flood volume of the Yangtze River should be conducted according to the flood control situation;the flood detention basins in the Yangtze River Basin should be planned reasonably according to new situation after the operation of TGP,and both classified and constructed according to their operation frequency,flood diversion effect and importance.
