Abstract
During the construction of a running tunnel on Line 5 of Beijing Metro located in water-rich saturated ground,vertical jet grouting piles are installed on both sides of the tunnel from the ground surface to create water-stopping pile walls and horizontal jet grouting piles are installed from inside the tunnel to create water-stopping curtains so as to consolidate the ground and control the deformation,to create water barriers and eliminate the water risks and to take comprehensive countermeasures and guarantee the construction safety.The construction technology of the described jet grouting piles is presented in the paper.
