Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of single-visit root canal treatment on teeth with chronic apical periodontitis in the youngster. Methods 198 teeth with chronic apical periodontitis of the youngster were chosen and divided into 2 groups randomly, the observation group(n=100),the control group(n=98).The observation group were given to single-visit root canal treatment and the control group were given to multiple-visit root canal treatment. Results The incidence of post-obturation pain after a week was 9.00% in single-visit group and 11.22% in multiple-visit group. There was no difference between two groups(P0.05).The total success rate was 91.00% in single-visit group and 88.78% in multiple-visit group. There was no difference between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The effect of single-visit root canal treatment on teeth with chronic apical periodontitis in the youngster was obvisious, which was a effective treatment method.
