Abstract

OBJECTIVE To understand the protile of mobile genetic elements in multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae(MDR-KPN).METHODS From Nov 2008 to Oct 2009,20 strains of MDR-KPN isolated from clinical specimens from Second People′s Hospital of Lianyungang were collected. We detected 9 kinds of genetic markers by PCR method, including genetic markers of cinjuagal plasmids(traA,trbC),genetic markers of transposons(tnpU,tnp513),genetic markers of insertion sequence(IS26,ISEcp1) and genetic markers of integron(int Ⅰ1,int Ⅰ2,int Ⅰ3).RESULTS In 20 strains of MDR-KPN,2 strains(10.0%),12 strains(60.0%),9 strains(45.0%),12 strains(60.0%),20 strains(100.0%),12 strains(60.0%),19 strains(95.0%) were detected to carry traA,trbC,tnpU,tnp513,IS26,ISEcp1,intⅠ,respectively.CONCLUSIONS The positive rates of genetic markers of the mobile genetic elements carrying on 20 strains of MDR-KPN are high. And phenotype of multidrug-resistance may be involved in these mobile genetic elements resulting in overexpression of resistant genes.
