Clinical observation between Mtwo rotary nickel-titanium files and stainless steel K files in root canal preparation

Abstract

Objective To evaluate clinical efficacy of root canal preparation of new rotary nickel-titanium files-Mtwo.Methods Fifty teeth were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.In root canal preparation,Mtwo rotary nickel-titanium files were used in the experimental group,while the hand stainless steel K-files were applied in the control group.In both groups root canals were obturated by lateral compaction technique.The time for root canal preparation,complications after root canal preparation and obturated effect were compared.Results With regard to root canal preparation time,experimental group was significantly shorter than the control group.After root canal preparation,the experimental group had fewer complications than the control group.Conclusion Mtwo Nickel-titanium instruments in root canal preparation can result in a very good maintenance of root canal anatomy and reduce postoperative pain,and it is time-saving and efficient,which is worthy of clinical application.
