Abstract
Aim: To study the serum levels of lysophosphatidic acid(LPA) in patients with epithelial ovarian tumor and its potential clinical value.Methods:70 patients with epithelial ovarian tumor (50 malignant cases, 20 benign cases), 20 normal women were subjected to detect the serum levels of LPA and CA125. Results: Levels of serum LPA in patients with malignant cases were higher significantly than those of normal women and benign cases(P0.05). The sensitivity (96.0%) and the specificity (87.5%) of LPA in epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis were superior to CA125 (P0.05). Conclusion: Serum levels of LPA in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer were high significantly. LPA may be a potential biomarker for diagnosis of epithelial ovarian cancer.
