Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the granules and decoction prepared with modified xiangsha liujunzi tang and wuyao san in the treatment of infantile abdominal pain. Methods The patients were randomized into two groups.78 cases in a treatment group were treated with the granules prepared with modified xiangsha liujunzi tang and wuyao san.90 cases in a control group were treated with the decoction prepared with modified xiangsha liujunzi tang and wuyao san.All the cases in two groups were treated for 21 days. The clinical symptoms, life physical signs and the improvements of three major routine examination, liver and kidney function were observed before and after treatment in two groups. Results 76 cases in treatment group and 86 cases in control group finished the treatment. In 21 days of treatment, the total effective rate was 92.11% in treatment group and was 89.53% in control group.By chi-square test, there was no statistical difference significance,χ2=0.317,P0.05 in comparison of the improvements in clinical symptoms between two groups. Conclusion The therapeutic effect of the granules prepared with modified xiangsha liujunzi tang and wuyao san is same as the traditional herbal decoction. This granule form of Chinese medicine is safe and no adverse reactions and it deserves to be promoted in clinical practice.
