Observation of functional dyspepsia with spleen stomach qi deficiency treated by Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of functional dyspepsia (FD) with spleen stomach qi deficiency treated by Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction. Methods 60 cases of FD were randomly divided into two groups. Patients in control group (n=30) were treated by Cisapride,thrice a day. Patients in treatment group (n=30) were treated by combination of Cisapride and Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction,twice a day. The therapeutic course was two weeks in two groups. The clinical effect and recurrence rate were recorded after two courses. Results The total effective rate in treatment group (83.3%) was higher than that in control group (60.0%,P0.05). The recurrence rate in the treatment group (26.7%) was lower than that in control group (40.0%,P0.05). Conclusion Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction can strengthen spleen and invigorate Qi,improve symptoms of FD with spleen stomach qi deficiency,and decrease recurrence rate.
