Abstract

The aim was to provide theoretical basis for screening and breeding drought tolerant fiber flax strains. Water stress conditions were simulated by different mass fraction of PEG,the physiological responses on three kinds of fiber flax seeds germination and radicle growth to water stress were explored. The results showed that three kinds of seeds were all not sensitive to 10% PEG,15% PEG was the sensitive concentration on seed germination. Response levels of different varieties to water stress were diverse, germination capacity and germination index of YOI 303 were higher than that of others treated with 25% PEG,vigor of germination in Tianxin3 was higher than that of others treated with 20% PEG,radicles of Tianxin 3 were longer than that of others after 20%,25% PEG treatment.
