Abstract

Lian Li Zhi,a word rich in implications,is widely found in variety of ancient classics.It is generally known as word symbolizing a loving couple.By marshaling the documents which recorded Lian Li Zhi,the paper discovered many other meanings and functions of the word,and restored its polysemy.Lian Li Zhi has virtually become an image motif.Therefore,to explore its image changes in the history can help glimpse the Chinese cultural and psychological habits.
