Abstract

Metaphor is an important cognitive instrument.From the cognitive point of view,this thesis discusses the application of metaphor theory in the learning and teaching of English vocabulary.The application of metaphor theory in the English vocabulary is not only in line with people's cognitive rules,but also is helpful to the English vocabulary learning.
