Effect of Puerarin on Some Blood Biochemical Indexes in Exercise Training Rats

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Puerarin on some blood biochemical indexes of exercise training rats.Methods The content of superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase(GOT),glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(GPT),the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),blood sugar(BS) in serum and hemoglobin(Hb) in blood were determined and analyzed in rats after swimming training.Results The results showed that comparing with control group,the activity of SOD and level of BS were enhanced consequently,the activities of GOT,GPT and level of MDA increased evidently in swimming training group;the activity of SOD and the content of BS and Hb increased evidently,while the content of MDA and the activities of GOT,GPT decreased evidently in swimming training and treated SI groups.Conclusion Puerarin can delete lipid peroxide produced in training and increase the contents of BS and Hb.
