Abstract
Mechanical model of spur gear is established through 3D design software Pro/E.The model is imported into the ANSYS by the interface for Pro/E and ANSYS.Natural frequencies and corresponding modal shape are to be solved by software ANSYS.The results of modal analysis provide a new technique and provide a reference for the design and improvement of the gear.
