Strategies Discussion on the Choice of Center Towns in Yantai

Center towns were the towns with some scales that had obviously developmental potential at the metropolis circle or the development axis of cities and towns in the whole province.To the area economic and social development,it was important to build some center towns by choice.How to choose center towns reasonably under the guidance of the spatial structure theory were a premise and a key to build center towns.In this paper,the elements of nature,society and economy affecting the development of center towns were analyzed in (allaspects),and evaluation index system was built.20 center towns in Yantai were chosen by using method of quality combined quantity,and their development directions were pointed out.At last,the detailed advices for developing center towns were given in this study.
