Abstract
A new spectrophotometric method for determining trace nitrite was established based on the decrease of adsorption of water soluble aniline blue in an acid medium with the increase in quantity of nitrite. The molar absorption of the system is 1.57×10 4L·mol -1 ·cm -1 .The linear range of determination is 0.04-4.42μg/mL.The method was applied to the determination of nitrite in synthetic mixtures with satisfactory results.
