Abstract
This article analyses the basic theory of the core stability training,and the effects on middle and long-distance runners.It probes into the methods and advices to the core stability training to middle and long-distance runner.The author thinks the core stability training can improve running efficiency and the strength of breath muscles,keep good posture and prevent injury.The core stability training includes fundamental lumbo-pelvic stability training,advanced lumbo-pelvic stability training,sensory-motor training and functional movement training.The athletes must realize the differences between mobilizer muscle and stabilizer muscle,keep the strength balance of the symmetric muscles,and keep normal breath rhythm in the training.
