CLINICAL ANALYSIS OF THE EFFICACY OF TOTAL GLUCOSIDES OF PAEONY CAPSULES ON RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

[Objective]To evaluate the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of total glucosides of paeony capsules in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.[Methods]A randomized controlled blind clinical trial was conducted.Patients in the experimental group received methotrexate(10mg iv Qw)and total glucosides of paeony capsules(0.6 Bid)therapy;patients in the control group only received methotrexate(10mg iv Qw)therapy.[Results]The efficacy of experimental group was significantly better than that of control group in stiffness time,joint swelling,ESR and CRP,and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).But the same results existed in the two groups in RF and joint tenderness(P﹥0.05).[Conclusion]The symptoms of patients treated with total glucosides of paecony capsules and methotrexate can be remitted faster.Natural course of rheumatoid arthritis can be blocked effectively,while not increase the adverse reactions.
