Clinical study of the Dingtong decoction and constitution theory of TCM in gouty arthritis

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Dingtong decoction and Total glucosides of paeony capsules in gouty arthritis. Methods We investigated 96 patients with gouty arthritis and divided them into two group,the experimental group(48) and control group(48).Both group were treated by basic treatment. the experimental group were treated with psychological nursing Dingtong decoction and Total glucosides of paeony capsules.The control group were treated with Meloxicam Tablets.After a course of treatment,we investigated the biochemical index and symptom score and safety index. Results The total effective rate of experimental group was 95.74%,and the control group was 91.30%,and the differences was not statically significant(P 0.05).There was a remarkable differencein biochemical index (P 0.05).and after the treatment,the blood routine urine routine and the hepatic and renal function of the patients had no abnormal change. Conclusion The clinical effect of Dingtong decoction and Total glucosides of paeony capsules in gouty arthritis could significantly improve the clinical efficacy,concomitant symptom and shorten the course, and it is safety.
