Abstract
To determine the content of flavanone in different varieties of buckwheat,using spectrophotometer,samples were directly determined after coloration at the wavelength of 500 nm.After the determination of seventeen varieties of buckwheat,the findings show that Meigu buckwheat has the highest flavanone which is 2.40%;the content of flavanone in No.1 Xuan buckwheat is 2.35%;No.1 of Sichuan buckwheat has the lowest content with a percentage of 1.54%.This method is proved simple and convenient in operation;stable and reliable in findings.
