Value of CT-Guidance Automatic Biopsy Needle in Interventional Diagnosis of Chest

Abstract

Objective To define the value of automatic biopsy needle in the interventional diagnosis of chest (IDC). Methods Sixty nine lesions were performed percutaneous biopsy on chest with automatic biopsy needle. Results One hundred and six biopsies were performed in the 69 lesions,the successful biopsy rate was 81%(56/69) with 21G needles and 100% with 18G needles.There were 10 benign lesions,and 59 malignant lesions among which 2 lesions were not diagnosed,the sensitivity of biopsy was 97%,and the specificity was 100%. Conclusion Automatic biopsy needle is a safe,effective and easy operated,which can be used in the conventional CT guided IDC.
