Abstract

Objective To evaluate the drug susceptibility of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and investigate the drug-resistance actuality of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Methods 285 isolates from the tuberculosis patients in Anhui province were subject to microbial susceptibility testing against 5 anti-tuberculosis drugs(isonicotinyl-hydrazide, Refampicin, streptomycin, ethambutol,p-aminos-allcylic acid) by using Absolute Concentration Method to verify the drug susceptibility of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Results Of the 285 M.Tuberculosis isolates, the drug-resistance rate was 56.8%, in which the rate of aingle drug resistance and multiple drug resistance (MDR) were 11.2% and 45.2%, respectively. Conclusion Of the M.Tuberculosis isolates, the rate of MDR is very high, therefore we should push DOTs program and put an end to the irregular drug taken in the patients so as to reduce the drug-resistance rate.
