Clinical efficacy of MEBO in treating wounds after nasal endoscopic surgeries

Abstract

Objective: To observe the efficacy of MEBO in treating wounds after nasal endoscopic surgeries. Method : 53 patients with sinusitis were subjected to nasal endoscopic surgery. Their left nasal cavities were cleaned with cleaning agent without additional treatment, and their right nasal cavities were treated with MEBO after cleaning. The results were compared. Result: MEBO applied after cleaning gave better results than cleaning alone. The wound healing time was shortened and healing rate increased. The difference was of significance. Conclusion: MEBO is efficacious in promoting healing of the wounds in nasal cavity after endoscopic surgery.
