Abstract

Objective According to the evidence-based nursing, the best time to indwell urinary catheter was elected in order to bring about ill stimulation for operation patients. Methods A total of 80 operation patients with indwelling catheter were divided into test and control groups randomly. Patients of control group were indwelled catheter in the ward 1-2 hours before operation according to traditional method. Patients of test group were placed urinary catheter in the operation room post-anesthesia. The pain degree, blood pressure and heart rate were observed in the course of indwelling catheter of two groups. Results There was statistical significant difference between two groups. Conclusion Indwelling urinary catheter in the operation patients with post-anesthesia can obviously alleviate pain and stress reaction, which has vigorous significance for clinical nurse.
