Abstract

Objective:To explore the practice effect of the improved pull-out method for indwelling urinary catheter.Methods:80 postoperative general surgery patients with indwelling catheter were randomly divided into two groups,40 patients in cach group. In the control group nurse suck all the water in the cather water ballon with sterile syrinye ,then pull-out the urinary catheter when the patients feeling urination. In test group group nurse suke all the water in the water ballon, then put it out after reinjection 0.4 ml water into the water ballon with storile syrinye. The comfort and negtive symptoms at first urination were compared between patients in the two groups.when the urinary catheter were removed. Results:The difference of the comfort and abnormal synpdons at first urination between two group patients were statistically significant (P0.001).Conclusion:The improved pull-out method for indwelling urinary catheter will in crease the comfort and decrease the negtive symptoms of the postoperative general suryery patients.
