Abstract
Objective To screen out the major risk factors that influenced mental health in high school students.Methods By using Symptom Check List SCL-90,Check List of Parents' Methods of Bringing up Their Children(EMBU),Family Backgrounds Questionnaire,and High School Students' Related Issues Questionnaire,the study did stratified,random and cluster spot-check among 2474 on-campus high school students in three high schools of Dongguan City.Results The main risk factors affecting mental health of high school students were as follows: drug abuse,thought of suicide,family members dead,fighting between parents at home,family members being severely ill,relation between parents,being stolen in school,father's satisfaction degree on his job,being threatened in school,contacting pornography,relation between students and parents,relation with teachers,grade,et al.Conclusion The factors influenced mental health among high school students are complcated and they are related to school,family and social factors.Participation of the whole world in preventing,controlling and reducing mental health problems is necessary for promoting the mental health of high school students.
