Mental Health Status of High School Students in Key Schools and Private Schools

Abstract

Objective To study the mental health status of high school students in key schools and private schools,and to provide bases for the intervention measures.Methods By using SCL-90,a total of 1 617 high school students were investigated,who were chosen from key schools and private schools.Results Mental health status of students in key school was better than that of private school.The positive rate of mental problem was 12.9% and 19.4% for the students in key school and private school respectively.Factors of hostility and paranoid ideation were higher in private school students(P(0.05),) but obsessive-compulsive,depression and anxiety in key school students were more serious(P0.01).Conclusion Mental health status of the students in private school is lower than key high school,but the mental problems are different.
