Abstract

Objective:To study the effect of bcl-2 gene in cell apoptosis by observing the expression of bcl-2 gene in hippocampus of hypoxic ischemic brain damage(HIBD). Methods:Fifty-six neonatal rats were used in a control group and 7 trial groups. The models of HIBD were established in neonatal rats by inhaling the mixed gases of 92% N2 and 8%O2,and the animals were sacrificed by dislocating their heads at different time morphological analysis. Results:The positive cell of bcl-2 protein increased after HIBD and reached the peak at 6h and then decreased gradually following HIBD.Conclusion:The expression of bcl-2 gene in hippocampus is stronger than that of the other areas of brain, and there is relationship between cell apoptosis and bcl-2 gene.
